The home has been thoughtfully developed to offer a variety of specialist environments, ensuring every resident receives the right level of support in a setting that feels comfortable and safe. Alongside our dedicated specialist care units, Drovers Call is home to the Rainbow Unit, providing compassionate end-of-life care in a peaceful, dignified environment where residents and their loved ones receive the support they need at every stage.
A unique feature of Drovers Call is its traditional in-house pub, celebrating the building's history as a former public house. Thoughtfully designed to recognise the home's heritage, it provides a welcoming space where residents can come together.
There's always something to enjoy at Drovers Call. Residents enjoy twice-monthly exercise sessions, animal therapy visits, regular live entertainers, interactive games, and meaningful activities that encourage wellbeing and social connection. Alongside resident activities, we proudly celebrate our dedicated team through staff appreciation and cultural celebration days. These events recognise the diversity and commitment of our colleagues while bringing residents, visitors and staff together.
The team at Drovers Call is at the heart of the home. Many colleagues have been part of the team for over 10 years, providing residents with familiar faces and a welcoming, consistent environment. Teams are supported through ongoing specialist training, including the Studio III approach, which focuses on understanding each individual and promoting positive interactions.

The nurses here work closely with relatives to reassure and are very open to keeping us informed around any changes in her care needs. The staff have spent time with Mum getting to know her and are always caring of her and us when we visit. It's always clean in her room and across the home. It's nice to feel you can get to know the staff who are regulars and tend to stay there which to me is a good sign.
I'm so pleased my Mum came to you at the beginning of last October, you as a team are outstanding . I never feel like anything is any trouble for any of you and the relationship we have built between ourselves with Mum first and foremost is fabulous.
Drovers Call has helped me to come to terms with my husband being in care as I know he is so well cared for and I am always kept informed of any issues and changes in care. Thank you Drovers Call!
I would like to thank you all for the care of our dad and grandad. End-of-life care was excellent. So comfortable and clean, excellent. The staff treated him like family. At the very end, you all gave him dignity and peace. You will be thanked forever by all our family. I recommend anyone with an elderly relative who needs the care to place them here, your mind will be at peace.
