Resident Stories: Happy Birthday Mick!
Mick has been part of the Drovers family since 2018, and it’s hard to imagine the place without him. He’s one of those people who always has time for a chat and never fails to make visitors feel welcome. Whether it’s someone he’s known for years or a first-time visitor, Mick is always ready with a smile and a friendly conversation as captured below, deep in rugby chat with Adam, Managing Director of Knights Care Group.

Something that never fails to impress us is Mick's dedication to keeping fit. Every single day, he makes time for his exercise routine, using his specialist ankle and wrist weights to work on his strength and mobility. The amazing thing is that nobody has to remind him or encourage him—he does it because he wants to. It's part of his daily routine, and he's incredibly committed to it.
If you ever walk past the garden, there's a good chance you'll spot Mick sitting outside, quietly counting his reps as he works through his exercises. Fifty reps? That's just the beginning! His determination and consistency are something we all admire, and he shows us every day what can be achieved with a positive mindset and a bit of perseverance.
Mick is a huge part of life at Drovers Call. His friendly nature, great sense of humour and love of a good chat make him a pleasure to be around, and his determination inspires us every day. We're incredibly proud to have had Mick as part of our home since 2018, and he continues to put a smile on the faces of everyone he meets.
Happy 51st Birthday, Mick! We hope you've had a wonderful day celebrating with everyone around you. Here's to another fantastic year filled with smiles, laughter and plenty more workouts!
