Relish Wellbeing

We believe that strong relationships with families and loved ones are an essential part of delivering outstanding care. Staying connected, sharing moments, and creating opportunities for involvement all contribute to the wellbeing and happiness of our residents.

‍

That is why we partner with Relish Wellbeing, a digital platform designed to bring families closer to life within our care homes, helping relatives stay involved, informed, and connected — even when visiting in person is not always possible.

‍

Relish Wellbeing provides families with a simple way to stay connected with their loved one’s daily life, especially when they are unable to visit as often as they would like.

Through the app, our teams can share meaningful updates, including:

‍

  • Photos of activities and events
  • Feedback and participation on events and activities
  • Special moments from daily life within our homes

‍

The platform gives families a greater insight into the experiences and wellbeing opportunities available to residents, helping them feel involved in their loved one’s journey.

Supporting Better Recording and Communication

‍

Relish Wellbeing also supports Knights Care in moving away from traditional paper-based records and providing a more efficient way to capture and share resident engagement.

‍

Our Activities Teams can use the platform to record meaningful interactions, activities, and experiences as they happen, creating a clearer picture of resident participation and wellbeing. By recording these moments digitally, information can be shared more easily with families, supporting better communication and providing reassurance about the experiences taking place within our homes.

‍

The platform helps create a more connected approach to engagement reporting, allowing our teams to capture the moments that matter while reducing reliance on manual processes.

Keeping Families Connected Across Oceans: Pat and Nichola's Story

‍

The impact of staying connected can be seen through the experience of Pat Peatfield and her daughter Nichola.

‍

When Pat moved into Branthwaite Care Home in March 2025, it marked an important new chapter for the family. Like many families, adjusting to a loved one moving into care brings change, new routines, and a period of transition.

‍

For Pat and her family, distance added another challenge. Pat’s daughter Nichola lives in Australia, meaning being involved in everyday life and sharing those special moments together is not always easy.

‍

Relish Wellbeing has become an important part of helping the family stay connected and reassured. Through the platform, Nichola can see updates, photos, and moments from Pat’s daily life within Branthwaite, giving her a greater insight into the experiences her Mum is enjoying.

‍

The app also allows family members to share their own photos and memories, helping create a continued connection between Pat, her family, and the care home community.

‍

Nicola shared:

"Relish is such a huge part of me feeling connected and seeing what Mum has been doing. As soon as I wake in the morning I can see what Mum did the day before. The family can also upload photos for the staff to show Mum which certainly helps us keep connected."

‍

For Knights Care, this is exactly why we introduced Relish Wellbeing — to support communication with families, provide reassurance, and help loved ones remain part of the moments that matter, wherever they are.
