From Pilot to Partnership: Celebrating Connection with Relish Wellbeing

Relish Wellbeing is a digital platform designed to help teams capture and share the meaningful moments, activities and experiences that happen every day within our homes. It offers a way to celebrate the moments that matter while helping families feel more connected to the lives of their loved ones.
The partnership began with the ambition to strengthen connections between residents, families and staff, while making the wonderful experiences taking place every day across our homes more visible and accessible.
Following the success of the initial trial — and the valuable feedback we received from residents, families and colleagues — we made the decision to expand Relish Wellbeing across all our care homes.
"Keep up the excellent work I love seeing what mum has been doing and the smiles on her face as she enjoys the activities"
"It helps me to stay connected to Mum, as I live overseas it definitely gives me peace of mind"
"I like to see what my Mum has been doing when I can't visit. It's reassuring to read and see information about her and a pleasure to view a smiling photo. I worry that I have done the right thing in taking her to a care home, so it is very helpful to know via the app that Mum is fine"
As we continue to embed Relish across our homes, one of our key focuses is growing engagement with families. Through the platform, families can gain a greater insight into the activities and events that shape everyday life for their loved ones, helping to strengthen relationships and build trust while giving reassurance that residents are enjoying fulfilling and connected lives.
At the heart of this partnership is something very simple: listening. Feedback from families highlighted that, when they couldn’t be there in person, they sometimes found it difficult to feel connected to their loved one’s everyday life — the activities they were taking part in, the moments they were enjoying and the relationships they were building within our homes. We wanted to find a way to bring families closer — to give them a greater insight into the activities, friendships and experiences that shape everyday life in our homes, helping them feel reassured, involved and connected to their loved one’s journey.
Sam Thomson, Business Development Director at Relish, said:
“Working with Knights Care has been a genuine pleasure. From the start, they were determined to close the gap between what families perceived and the brilliant things actually happening inside their homes, and they used Relish as one of the ways to make that visible. They're refreshingly data-hungry, always keeping the lived experience of residents and families at the heart of their decisions. Amy and the team consistently bring great ideas for developing the experience for residents, staff and families alike. We've loved every step of the partnership.”
As our partnership continues to grow, we’ll keep working with Relish Wellbeing to ensure residents’ voices are heard, families feel connected, and the positive stories from across our homes continue to be shared and celebrated.
