Sylvester Kiel

Since 1987, Sylvester Keal (SK) has been a trusted, family-run supplier of commercial kitchen, laundry and hygiene solutions across the UK. Our partnership began over a decade ago and has grown from supporting one care home to all six of our homes. Sharing the same family values of trust, reliability and putting people first, SK provides the expert servicing, maintenance and support that helps our teams focus on delivering exceptional care to our residents.

‍

A Partnership that has Grown Together

Our relationship with Sylvester Keal began when Knights Care acquired Ladysmith Care Home in Grimsby. Already a trusted supplier to the home, SK continued to provide their services, and as trust grew, so did the partnership. Today, they are our sole supplier for kitchen and laundry operations across all six of our homes, delivering everything from planned maintenance and servicing to hygiene products and responsive repairs.

‍

What the Partnership Means to Us

Reliable partners are essential to delivering exceptional care. Across our six homes, we depend on our kitchens and laundries every day, and having a trusted partner like Sylvester Keal gives us confidence that these vital services continue to run smoothly.

‍

Over the past decade, SK has become more than a supplier. They understand our homes, our teams and the standards we expect, providing expert advice, responsive support and planned maintenance that helps prevent disruption before it happens. Their knowledge and reliability allow our teams to focus on what matters most – providing the highest quality care for our residents.

‍

Like us, Sylvester Keal is a family-run business with a long-term approach to relationships. Built on trust, open communication and shared values, our partnership has grown year after year and continues to support the smooth running of every Knights Care home.

‍

Their Experience within Our Homes

During our conversation with the SK team, they spoke warmly about their experience of working across our homes. They described a welcoming atmosphere, dedicated staff and a genuine commitment to residents' wellbeing, noting that the positive culture is consistent across every home.

‍

Their engineers told us they are always made to feel like part of the wider team rather than simply contractors, something they believe reflects the trust and collaboration that has developed over more than a decade. They also praised the strong communication across the group and the support given to each home, allowing them to build lasting relationships with our teams.

‍

Looking Ahead

We are incredibly proud of the partnership we have built with Sylvester Keal and look forward to continuing to work together for many years to come. As Knights Care grows and evolves, we know we have a trusted partner by our side, providing the expertise and support that helps our homes continue delivering exceptional care every day.
