Each year, Nottinghamshire County Council visit and assess a range of factors including the choice of meals, cleanliness and the number of activities on offer. This is used to give each home a quality rating, with band one being the lowest quality and band five the highest.

Cherry Holt are proud to remain in band 5, scoring excellent throughout the audit which took place in January 2025.

“During our visit we look are the care plans for three people who lived at the service and found that they were clear, concise and easy to navigate. Care and support needs were fully documented to meet the needs of the person. Which includes social, emotional and spiritual needs of the person.”

Safe and Homely Environment

“We noticed individual spaces were personalised and decorated to a good standard. Gardens were fully accessible and free from clutter and debris and were well maintained. Communal areas were well laid out and were clean/pleasant/welcoming and maintained regularly.”

Keeping People Safe

“We saw that people had up to date care plans and risk assessments regarding finances and these had been regularly reviewed. The provider has an up-to-date medication policy that staff can easily access.”

Services are Managed Effectively

“The staff we spoke to said they felt they were supported by the manager and felt confident with her judgement. We could see through our observations the manager was able to lead the team effectively.”
