Olivia McFerran

Deputy Manager

Olivia has experience working as a registered general nurse and midwife prior to joining Ladysmith in 2012. She has worked as registered manager of both a Residential and Nursing Home.

Olivia enjoys her role, and has a passion for helping residents get the most out of each day.

Debra Macleod

Deputy Manager

Debbie Macleod started working at Ladysmith as a cook when the care home was first built in 2011. Debbie had worked in the care industry for a few years before this but decided she wanted a change in direction. Debbie decided to go back into the role of a carer and after two years became a senior. As Debbie’s confidence and skills grew, she was able to move on to become Lead Senior before taking on the role as Care Manager, now Deputy Manager

She values each and every residents individual personalities, and promotes a strong team work ethic within the home.

Bethany Caldecott

Receptionist

Bethany began working for Knights Care back in September 2021 as a receptionist.
She has since completed a level 2 diploma in business and administration and has settled into her role and is enjoying working in the care home setting.

Nick Cooling

Kitchen Manager

Nick has had a passion for cooking since being in school. He has an NVQ Level 2 in hospitality and catering and worked for a French restaurant for many years until he relocated to Grimsby. He began work at Ladysmith in 2018 where his passion continues.

Nick ensures that all diet requirements of residents at Ladysmith are met by frequently engaging with the residents and implementing their ideas of what dishes they would like to see on the menus each week.

Carol Woodliffe

Registered Manager

Carol Woodliffe has 26 years experience in the care industry, 13 years at management level. This experience has armed her qualifications including NVQ Level 2,3 & 4 Health & Social Care; QCF Level 2 (Management structure) in Dementia care, Mental Capacity Assessment, End of life Care, Person Centred Care Planning and Medication management. All this training has underpinned skills and extensive knowledge in the care industry, specifically older people.

Carol has utilised the rationale for good person centred practise by honing excellent people skills, a professional approach and versatility. She is a self-motivated individual with commitment to high standards of quality care provision.

Katie Barnard

Receptionist

Katie began working at Ladysmith Care home in April 2019 having completed an NVQ Level 2 in Business & Admin after leaving school.

Nicola Page

Activities Lead

Nicola began working for Knights Care back in May 2021, were she started on the domestic team and gradually began getting involved with the activities team, eventually moving her job role across permanently.

Nicola is a naturally kind and caring person so loves spending time with the residents doing different activities and helping make their days enjoyable.

Michelle Chidwick

Housekeeping

Michelle started work at Ladysmith Care Home in 2012 as a care assistant. In 2016 she progressed to a more senior role as Housekeeper, following her desire to progress within the Care Home. Michelle now supervises a team of ten domestic staff ensuring the home is clean, tidy and odour free and a professional laundry service is provided.

Liam Key

Deputy Manager

Liam has been in the care sector since the age of 18, he came to Ladysmith Care Home in 2011.Whilst at Ladysmith he has developed his career from Care Assistant to Senior Lead to Deputy Manager.

Liam has completed multiple qualifications including NVQ level 3 Diploma in management and leadership which has enabled him to be promoted to the position of Care Manager. Liam is very passionate about his role and promoting our values, ensuring our residents receive the care they deserve.

Deana Wharton

Administrator

Deana started working at Ladysmith care home in July 2020 and has since completed a level 2 and 3 diploma in Administration.

She enjoys working within the care home setting, learning about each resident and contributing to providing a care package that is centred around their individual needs.

Mandy Rigall

Activities

Mandy began working at Ladysmith Care Home in September 2016 originally as a carer and then progressed to activities co-ordinator.

She thoroughly enjoys helping and spending time with all the residents. Mandy plans activities and fun days out for all, she chats with them and helps build their confidence and promotes a happy atmosphere within the home with her positive energy.
