At Knights Care we are committed to providing exceptional care where we deliver outstanding service to our residents who are at the heart of everything that we do.

Knights Care Ltd was founded in 2006 and is owned and operated by Adam Knights who has worked within the independent care home sector since 2001. At present we have five care homes across the subsequent locations: Staffordshire, Teesside &  Lincolnshire, with our Head office situated in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

At each of our homes we strive to provide an outstanding level of care to every single person who has entrusted their future to us. We believe in a personal and individual service so that is why at Knights Care we are willing to go that extra mile in order to improve and sustain the overall quality of life of our residents.

We offer a family run service that is passionate about positively influencing the lives of those we care for, so we strive to provide care that is flexible, attentive, and respectful; thus ensuring clients maintain as much of their independence, privacy and dignity as possible.

We pride ourselves on creating an open, positive, and inclusive atmosphere throughout the home; somewhere where social activity is at the forefront of daily pursuits, where every meal is home cooked from scratch and where our staff give paramount care and attention to every single person as our residents are at the heart of everything that we do.

TYPES OF CARE

At each of our homes we strive to provide an outstanding level of care to every single person who has entrusted their future to us.

Nursing

With extensive clinical experience, our team of registered nurses manage the nursing needs of clients who are no longer able to remain in their own home. Our nurses support a wide range of specialist consultants, undertaking daily reviews with face-to-face assessments. They are hand pick with expert on going training to ensure they continually maintain their skills and are fully up to date with the latest best practise. Our nurses liaise with all allied professional including physiotherapy, dietitians, and speech & language therapists to ensure the best possible holistic care is achieved.

Residential

There is nowhere quite like home but we aim to make your accommodation at Knights Care an extension of home should you feel you might require a little more help than is possible in your own home. This includes providing you with your own en-suite room, nutritionally home cooked meals, housekeeping and personal assistance such as help with hygiene, bathing, medication management and access to GP services. There is a full activities program available in groups or on a 1-2-1 basis should you prefer. With company from fellow residents and staff we true no one will feel isolated or alone.

Dementia

With over 850,000 people have a diagnosis of dementia in the UK, our facilities and staff training is second to non. Our key staff have undertaken training with Dr David Sheard in conjunction with Surrey University and virtual dementia tours. Our aim is to support clients to maintenance dignity and quality of life by respecting their person-hood. It is key that our team getting to know our clients social history. By doing so, we can continue to support “the life they wish to choose” offering engagement of useful occupation, supporting access to outdoor space and weekly music therapy sessions along with lots of love & laughter.

Respite Care

Every relationship needs a break in order to remain positive & healthy. We recognise that in many circumstances caregivers are with their loved ones 24/7. This is where Respite Care can really offer support, providing that much needed temporary rest so that the family caregiver can take a step back for a short period to take care of their own health needs, socialise with friends, even catch up on sleep or take a well-deserved holiday knowing their loved one is well-cared for.

Day Care

An adult Day Care facility specializing in providing activities for your loved one. At Knights Care we can work with you and your loved ones to create a day care package around your needs, providing care, meals, social/recreational outings, and general supervision. Some homes additionally maintain a nurse on-site. Occasionally, there will be a small room devoted to clients to have vital signs checked, etc. by one of our highly skilled staff on site when needed. We can also provide transportation if required.

Complex Care and Behaviours that Challenge

All of Knights Care staff are trained to adopt a person centred approach, by getting to know our clients, their wants, needs and desires, barriers are broken down, positive relationships are built and quality of life is maintained. Team members are then able to build on these solid foundations with additional training to gain skills to deliver complex care and support clients with behaviour which may challenge.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Food & Nutrition

Our Chef Managers liaises with residents to establish dietary and nutritional needs, and food choices/preferences. Menus are planned and agreed through consultation with residents. Meals are prepared on site from the most appropriate sourced produce and ingredients by our own team.

Social Therapy

Every one of our home has its own disability friendly mini-bus which our Lifestyle and activity team use to co-ordinate outings for residents - such as pub lunches, revisiting local sights, attending organised coffee mornings or appointments or even catching up with old friends.

Daily Activities

Meaningful activity plays a central role in the day to day life of our homes. A programme of daily activity, trips, pet therapy, exercise, music and entertainment, spiritual support, hairdressing and much, much more is available to all residents.
