Around 160 year 9 and 10 students from schools across Staffordshire registered to attend one of two Young People’s Health and Social Care conferences in March before the lockdown.
As part of the I Care home role, the health and care partnership for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, is holding the conferences to speak to school-aged children about the vast career opportunities on offer within health and social care.
The young people will attend workshops facilitated by health and care staff from across the sector, sharing knowledge and information about their career pathways and about the opportunities been and being made available to them. They will have the opportunity to meet staff from different areas of nursing, social care, and teams from other non-clinical, corporate roles.
