Nick Hutcheson
Nick Hutcheson was hired in 2013 when Knights Care opened its head office in Chesterfield as the day-to-day running had become too much to be dealt with at home level. Initially working alone, Nick has built the head office team up over recent years into what it is today and now all home operations relating to accounts and finance are centralised.
Nick graduated from Hull University with a BSc in Accountancy. Following further professional development, Nick is now a qualified Chartered Management Accountant. Nick’s responsibilities include aiding with the strategic decisions of the company, overseeing the smooth running of the head office function & supporting the care homes in their day-to-day operations.
Nick enjoys developing other colleagues and creating a welcoming team environment for all to flourish.
Peter Knights
Peter Knights is a member of the Knights Care head office team assisting in an advisory capacity to help create a successful company.
Peter is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant with financial and management accounting experience demonstrated across a number of industry sectors. His key areas of experience include statutory financial and management accounting, financial analysis and reporting, and financial control systems.
One of Peters greatest thrills in life is to employ people and treating people how he would like to be treated himself. The Care sector allows him to do both.
Danielle Petrillo
Danielle joined the Knights Care Team in January 2020 as the Accounts Assistant and was promoted to the role of Payroll Manager in May 2022. With a background as a payroll officer, she wanted to expand her skillset and gain maximum opportunity within the company.
She takes great pride in the work she does, and is now exceeding in her professional development. Danielle is currently studying CIPP Level 3 (Advanced Payroll Technician) and hopes to have completed this by spring 2024. She really enjoys her role at Knights Care and looks forward to many years to come.
Charlotte Gee
Charlotte started at Knights Care in January 2022 as the Administration Apprentice after deciding she wanted to gain business skills and knowledge in a practical and friendly work environment.
She passed her NVQ Level 3 in July 2023 gaining her qualification in business administration. Since then she has carried on employment at Knights Care as the Administration Assistant. She has loved her time so far, and is looking forward to progressing with the company.
Adam Knights
Adam Knights is the Managing Director of Knights Care. Adam has been working full time in the care sector since 2001, but it all really began back in the 80’s when he started working for his father at just 8 years old.
Adam graduated from Brunel University with a degree in Business Studies and has always had a passion for the care sector since he started in the family business. This passion for supporting vulnerable adults has continued throughout his whole career and he is passionate about helping those who need more care than mainstream services.
Adam believes the key to his successful homes, is in making sure his residents are supported with dignity, compassion respect and most importantly that they live in a safe place. Whilst continuing to support and develop his staff who are the most integral part to his company.
Leah Meade
Leah Meade started with Knights Care in September 2019 as the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. After moving to the UK from the Republic of Ireland in 2017, she began working on the reception in the Head Office building. This experience opened doors for Leah and when the opportunity to work as part of the Knights Care Team came available, she felt it was an opportunity she could not turn down.
Since accepting the position, Leah has developed her professional career and has been promoted to the role of Executive Assistant to the Managing Director and HR Lead and is developing her career within Knights Care.
Elle Hutcheson
Ellie joined the Knights Care Team in January 2021 as an Accounts Assistant. She has over 17 years’ experience working in accounts in a variety of different roles. The ability to adapt her accounting knowledge to the care sector enabled her to settle into the role with ease and has progressed into the role of Customer Relations Manager.
Ellie has great attention to detail which is needed when dealing with resident’s care fees and funding.
Amy Meade
Amy joined the Knights Care team as Engagement Lead in November 2023. Having moved from Ireland to the UK she has brought with her years of experience in engagement & communications management.
Amy believes firmly in creating and maintaining a ‘great place to work and be’ environment which she is thrilled to be bringing to Knights Care in this position.
Sharon Flood
Sharon joined Knights Care in December 2023 as Clinical Director to support staff and residents across Knights Care Care Homes. Sharon is a Registered Nurse with 37 years experience in senior management within the care sector.
Sharon is beyond pleased to be part of Knights care and is looking forward to implementing improvements in the homes.
Nav Sandhu
Nav joined the Knights Care team in September 2014 as an Accounts Apprentice and has recently been promoted to the role of Financial Controller.
Nav is a hardworking and dedicated member of the team. Already completing AAT, he has ambitions to complete the CIMA accounting qualification in the near future.
Joanna Gracey
Joanna joined Knights Care on the 14th March 2022, as an Accounts Assistant. She comes from an accounts/hr background and joined Knights Care in the hopes of focusing more on accounts.
She really enjoys working with the team and has settled in well, feeling thankful to Knights Care for giving her that opportunity.
Brian Smith
Brian has worked for the Knights care family since 1994. He assisted in the building of Adams’ maiden home Abbey Court, before Adam took over operations in 2006.
Brian is a highly skilled person in the company offering a wide range knowledge to our maintenance team in general and operating larger tasks outside of the daily maintenance needs. By having Brian we know the quality of the work will always be to the Knights Care standard and he has become a great familiar face not just to staff, but more importantly to the residents, while he is improving and maintaining the homes they live in. Therefore helping us stay ahead and compliant. Brian is a great asset working in care homes for over 25 years he understands the needs and compassion required in the environment.
