We are incredibly proud to share that Motunrayo Adelekan, also known as Joy, of Branthwaite Care Home was successful in making it as a finalist at the Proud to Care Awards. This remarkable achievement recognises her dedication, compassion, and the outstanding impact she has on the people she supports every day.

Since joining the team at Branthwaite Care Home in January 2023, Joy has become an invaluable presence within the home. Quickly progressing to the role of Nights Senior Lead, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting residents’ wellbeing, particularly through improving night-time routines by introducing a night time meal trolley to support residents with varying routines on improving their sleep and nutrition
Joy has introduced a variety of thoughtful evening activities, from calming pampering sessions to music-led relaxation, all designed to create a soothing end to the day for residents. She says,

With a diploma in Mental Health and Social Care, Joy uses her knowledge to provide both emotional and physical support. She is known for her innovative approach, strong leadership, and deep compassion. She says,

Joy attended the Proud to Care Awards on November 7th, accompanied by Home Manager Laura, Deputy Manager Michelle and Care Team Lead Jordan. The group had an amazing night of celebration and recognition, and we are thrilled at Joy's achievement in making it to finalist of these incredible awards.
