Pure Air Group was set up as a vision to help with indoor air quality as more and more people seem to be becoming less healthy as life delivers its daily challenges. The recent challenges of the virus has focused peoples minds on the necessity of good quality air and the benefits this has on peoples well being, and health also businesses for productivity and reduced sick days.

At Pure Air Group we strive to help people to obtain a healthier lifestyle by simply making sure the environment in which you both live and work is off the best quality and has the protection to hugely reduce the transmission of influenza and viruses from people to people. This also minimises sick days and temporary staff fees for businesses.

We are working very closely with Knights Care Group who have recently purchased equipment for all their homes to give the best protection possible for their residents and staff. A very forward thinking and professional business.

“With the current outbreak of COVID-19 and knowing that the most effective way of preventing the spread of the virus is the control of exposure at source through effective ventilation, we made this decision to reduce the exposure to infection and help protect all our staff and residents. From seeing the fantastic results first-hand, we believe that air purifiers are an effective solution to maintaining a safe and clean environment for the most vulnerable groups.”

I was most impressed when I first visited one of their care homes and residents were thanking the owner as we walked around the facility. I was touched and very impressed that the level of care was so personal that each resident had hugs and thank you messages for the staff and were very appreciative of the level of care they receive. I have asked kindly for their responses below so as to show and give you all the confidence that this system is being used in an environment where it proves the equipment does what it says it does and really does make a difference in a very positive way.

What the team at Knights Care had to say about us:

Here at Knights Care Ltd we have been testing the air purifiers from Pure Air Group for since late 2019 at our Drovers Call Care Home and want to highlight the amazing results we have seen. The air purifiers have completely improved the quality of air throughout the home and you can really smell the fresh, clean air from the moment you walk into the reception.

Inspired to see how beneficial these purifiers were in terms of infection control, so we decided to place them in well-known high risk areas, prominent in care home settings. Most residents are high risk, vulnerable people who are easily prone to infection. We were completely blown away with the results. The air purifiers have helped reduce the bacteria, thus dramatically reducing the number of infections. As a matter of fact we have not had any infections that have spread since carrying out this test. As a result, our residents feel as if they are now living in a safer environment, our care staff are confident that the hygiene standards of the home are at an all-time high and the relatives are at ease knowing that we go above and beyond to ensure our residents needs are met.

Trish Webster, our housekeeper who manages the machine, states that the machine is an excellent investment to the home. It is convenient as one person can lift it, it is sturdy and never causes disruption to the home and it is very easy to maintain, all you need to do is wipe the outside and hoover underneath, the machine does the rest!

Home Manager, Wendy Grimwood praises how the air purifier makes a big difference in the air quality of the home as it eliminated and kills all bacteria by using PHI technology and the use of the advanced oxidation process that enables every square foot of air in the facility to be sanitised. It is because of these outstanding results, we have invested in Pure Air Groups’ air purifiers in our other three care homes throughout the UK. ”

12 th MARCH 2020

It is with regret that I am writing to you to confirm that we have closed all our homes to non-
essential visitors. This is with immediate effect, 12 March 2020.

Essential health service and emergency personnel will still enter our home, as will appropriate new
admissions as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our county health services, and of
course offering care to those who urgently need it.

This is not a decision that has been taken lightly, it follows detailed analysis of all current information
and advice available from the government, health authorities and other relevant sources.

Our priority has to be to protect the health and wellbeing of all our residents. They represent some of
the most vulnerable in our healthcare system, and as such are at the highest risk from this dangerous
virus. We must do all we can to minimise that risk and to protect them, we felt we had no choice but
to take this decision.

I am genuinely sorry for any inconvenience or distress this might cause, but I am sure you understand
that perhaps a relatively small sacrifice now might go a long way to averting a far bigger one in days
and weeks to come.

If there is a situation that requires a non-routine visit, we would ask that you discuss this with the
Registered Manager of the home to ensure that the appropriate precautionary measures are taken to
limit any potential risk.

In addition, we are limiting visits overall, and visits from the local community and external
entertainment are cancelled for the foreseeable future. Our staff will do all they can to ensure that life
in our services remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. We will still ensure that vital medical
visits are made and will be sure that only visitors who are not displaying symptoms come in, and that
they wash their hands on entering.

We are able to offer various options to assist you to stay in touch, including ‘phones to the bedside
and even ‘face time’ and skype calls. Let us know if we can help in any way to facilitate these
facilities for you. We will also post updates regarding both incident management progress, and
resident activity and wellbeing across all our social media platforms, keep a good eye there as well!

We remain dedicated to ensuring and protecting the health and wellbeing of our residents and
team, of friends and families, I know you are too. Thank you for your consistent support it is
hugely appreciated and valued.

Yours Sincerely
Adam Knights,
Managing Director
