We’re delighted to welcome Sarah to Knights Care as our new Head of Compliance. In this integral role, she will work closely with teams across the organisation to strengthen compliance, quality, and best practice.

Sarah began her career in health and social care straight after leaving school at 16, alongside attending college. Over the years, she has supported people across a wide range of different types of care services including residential, nursing, complex care, mental health and learning disabilities services.

Throughout her career, Sarah has progressed through a variety of roles including Team Leader, Activities Worker, Specialist Provision Lead, Registered Manager, and Nominated Individual/Operations Manager. Alongside this, she also worked as a Bank Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), supporting regulatory activity and quality assurance.

More recently, Sarah worked as a Business Development and Taskforce Executive for a national care consultancy, where she supported organisational growth while leading the implementation and improvement of high-quality care provisions. She has worked closely with teams striving for Outstanding care, driving meaningful improvement and embedding good practice from frontline delivery through to senior leadership.

She is passionate about delivering safe, compassionate, and effective care, and about supporting services to achieve strong, sustainable standards. In her own words, Sarah tells us:

“I’ve worked in health and social care since the age of 16 and have somehow survived every role from frontline support to senior leadership, including Registered Manager and Operations Manager. I’m passionate about good-quality care, strong teams, and making services work the way they should (with a bit of common sense thrown in) When I’m not working, I’m a single mum to three children, owned by a cat called Ed and a guinea pig named Lennie. Most weekends involve football side-lines, play centres, and a house full of children — fuelled by snacks, noise, and very strong coffee"

We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah to Knights Care and are excited to work with her as she shapes and grows this position within the company.
