After 70 years of marriage, Pamela and Norman have truly mastered the secret to lasting love—sticking together through everything… even moving into a care home side by side. Residents, family, and staff at Branthwaite Care Home came together in joyful celebration on March 24th as the couple marked this extraordinary milestone, celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary surrounded by those who know them best.

The home was filled with laughter and cherished memories as everyone gathered to honour a lifetime of love and commitment. The day saw afternoon tea, complete with a beautiful musical performance featuring their lifelong favourite love songs. To make the day even more special, Pamela and Norman were thrilled to receive a congratulatory letter from the King, marking this remarkable achievement in style.

Following the event, the couples lifelong friend Maureen sent two heartfelt letters—one to the care home and one to the head office—praising the staff for their care and dedication in making the celebration so special - a wonderful reflection of the love and joy Pamela and Norman bring to everyone around them.

Pamela and Norman have lived an extraordinary life together, travelling the world, building lifelong friendships, and creating memories that span decades. Now enjoying life side by side in Branthwaite, their story is so remarkable it deserves its own feature—and we can’t wait to share their full journey with you soon.

Congratulations to Pamela and Norman—70 years of love, laughter, and sticking together through everything… and still showing us all how it’s done!
